I Never Meant By; John “ Speedy “ Hartman I never meant to kill her, it never was my wish, She asked if she could ride behind me, to be my biker bitch. She was so young and lookin good, a body that was fine, I thought the worst that could happen is, we have a great ol’ time….. So we said goodbye and pack our gear, taking only what we need, And headed up the 101, to ride among the trees. For I’ve made this trip so many times, for her it was a first, The day was good, the bike ran smooth, I never thought the worst….. We spent the day riding through the hills, for both of us a thrill, It was such a peaceful time, I thought it can’t be real. She held on tight, keeping her head against into my back, Soon the exit was coming, to get off the beaten track….. Never realizing that around the next curve, the trip was coming to an end, For there in the road, a car had stopped, just beyond the bend. What happened next is still a blur, for I hit the cage dead center, So over the bars and across the car, went me and beautiful rider….. I was told to lie still, and don’t try to move, While my leathers, were being removed. I so wanted to ask, about my lady on the back, But before I could be told, everything went pitch-black….. I thought it was a dream, or maybe I remember, Looking over at the side of the road, and seeing my sweet Amber. She was lying there all stretched out, covered with a sheet, We will ride again in heaven, because in heaven is where we’ll meet….. Copyright© 2010 All Rights Reserved
