the sky provides
in day and night alone
I ride
Even with you by my side
I consume this road alone
the ride now is my home
a spooling black thread of peace
sanctuary for me
release
of all that resides
starkly alive in my mind
I know life could pry me apart
if I didn't have this place
to unleash my heart
so I thank you
from this bright and troubled soul
my road, my ride, my confidant, my home
it's belonging here that keeps me whole
