The Good Thing's
It's not a pretty sight! You want to deny death and to Confirm that you at least, Are still alive. You slowly notice that you are Starting to lose the ability to feel Emotions.. Desperately you look for ways to prove That it's not real and to save yourself from drowning in hopelessness! I found part of growing up (at any age) Is learning to accept the sad things in life.. "Look for the good things" Sadness can be a vortex. It will suck you up in a heartbeat that can last and last. It seems daily exposure to so much suffering Makes you face your own morality Look for the good things There was always a flame That burned in my heart For my Dad! Yet as the years gone by The flame turned to a spark The spark turn into a firecracker! Like the 4th of July I know the good things I looked for them and found them In my Son's eyes I have my Dad and OLE Glory by my side I have grown (no longer drowning in sadness) I have never felt so proud I owe it to my Dad The Longhaired, Bearded, Brawny Biker. As he R.I.P. I walk his walk, and talk, his talk All the good things he has taught My Mom helped me too! Those chronic adrenaline rushes of sadness. She mad! e so rea l I owe my ability that I am alive. Feeling that firecracker That burns inside.
